1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create a WaADesk account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. This information is stored in Supabase, our backend provider.

1.2 WhatsApp Data

WaADesk runs entirely on your local machine. All WhatsApp messages, contacts, media, and session cookies are stored locally in Electron's partition storage. We do not have access to, collect, or transmit your WhatsApp messages to any external server.

1.3 API Keys

API keys for third-party services (DeepSeek, Google Cloud, Doubao/Volcengine) are stored locally in your configuration files. They are only used to make direct API calls from your machine to the respective service providers.

1.4 Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage statistics including: number of AI replies generated, translation requests, and credit consumption. This data is associated with your account for billing and quota enforcement purposes only.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate your account and enforce subscription limits
  • To track credit consumption for billing purposes
  • To provide the AI reply, translation, and transcription services you request
  • To sync your account metadata (names, window layout) across devices when you opt in

3. Data Storage

  • Local Storage: WhatsApp sessions, API keys, and configuration are stored locally on your device
  • Cloud Storage (Supabase): Account credentials (hashed), subscription status, credit balance, and usage logs are stored in a Supabase database
  • Account Metadata Sync: When you choose to sync, basic account names and IDs are uploaded to Supabase

4. Third-Party Services

WaADesk integrates with the following services. Each receives only the data necessary to fulfill its function:

  • DeepSeek: Receives your messages (text only) to generate AI replies and translations
  • Google Cloud STT: Receives audio data for voice transcription (requires your own API key)
  • Doubao/Volcengine: Receives audio data for voice transcription and real-time interpretation (requires your own API key)
  • Supabase: Stores your account credentials, subscription data, and credit transactions
  • Stripe: Processes payments (receives only payment-related data)

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Credentials are hashed. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data stored in our systems
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your account data
  • Opt out of cloud sync at any time
